Job Creation

New jobs for today, better resources for the future

 

The LGRC is funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) as a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009. This funding allows us to create new jobs for scientists and also support our existing research staff. Our newly hired scientists will be trained in the growing fields of genomic medicine and bioinformatics, benefiting the trainees, not only for today, but for their future careers in these exciting fields. What they contribute to the study of lung disease will accelerate the development of advanced diagnostic tests and personalized treatments, thus improving the way we care for patients.
